My Life in 2020...
The Year of the Pandemic
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not yo harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).
I thank God for giving me everything I needed during this pandemic and allowing me to still be here to tell my testimony about it. This pandemic is an unexpected life event that truly changes our ability to connect with family&friends face to face. It changes our normal way of living. However, this pandemic helps me learn how to lean on God even more in these uncertain times. God is strengtheing and growing me in ways I could have never have imagined. Many people loss their lives during this pandemic including those who lost thier lives due to injustice. But God brings us comfort and is with us through it all. God gives us peace that surpasses all understanding.
Here is a glance of my life during the pandemic with God every step of the way. Thank u Jesus!
January 2020: Before Pandemic began, my husband and I went on vacation to Cancun, Mexico for the first time and it was amazing. We stayed at the Hilton Zilara all-inclusive  resort and even went on speedboat tour. We also celebrated my husband's 50th birthday with family &friends.
March 2020: This is the month that COVID-19 was declared a pandemic and employers started making plans for employees to work from home.
July 2020: This is my birthday month and we celebrated locally with our mask on and socially distancing at Sode City on Main Street and home.
Aug-Nov 2020: I started volunteering at church during this pandemic. I also  began participating in a lot of virtual Zoom meetings and birthday celebrations. I also participated in family face time calls and many more work conference calls.
November 2020:  I volunteered at the polls, we voted and Joe Biden was elected as President of the US. Kamala Harris was elected as vice-president of the US. Harris is also the first black female US VicePresident.
December 2020: My mom, sister and neice came to visit us for the first time since Pandemic and we had a family cookout and went shopping. COVID relief bill was passed. This was the first time also I celebrated Jesus birth on Christmas Day during the pandemic.
It is March 2021, we are still wearing masks, social distancing but now we have vaccine's available. Things are getting better and I'm hoping for better than normal in months to come🙏
In the name of Jesus, I thank you Lord for always being by our side even during this pandemic. Thank you Jesus for directing my path. God you are a way maker in any and all situations. I pray you God will help all of us keep our focus, faith and works committed to your glory. Forgive us for our sins and guide us in the way you want us to be for your purpose and will. Amen!
