MY AFRICAN AMERICAN EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS🌏
Part of My African American Experience began when I was born and is continuing to unfold itself along my life journey. What do u recall about your African American experience in your life?
Here are a 10 highlights below of My African American experience since I was born over four decades ago.
1. My Dad, Mom, Grandparents and Great Grandma are all African-African American.
2. I was raised in the African-American Culture with a strong spiritual foundation, family gatherings and eating soul food.
3. During grade school, I remember having one African-American (AA) kindergarten teacher,  two AA middle school teachers and one AA Band Director.
4. About 20% of my High School graduating class were African-American.
5. I am a first generation African Amercan child to graduate from a 4 year college and receive my Master's Degreee. About 5% of my Post College Graduate class were African American.
6. I married an African American male over 20 years ago.

8.  The first Black Mayor Steven Benjamin in Columbia, SC was elected abour 12 years ago.
9. The first African American US president Barak Obama was elected in 2008 and 2012.
10.  The first African American female US VicePresident Kamala Harris was elected in 2020.
